This halal-certified establishment prides itself on serving an exquisite array of seafood dishes that perfectly blend freshness with skilled preparation, all in a serene and comfortable setting overlooking a stunning top hill view stretching across to Singapore.

The atmosphere strikes a balance between relaxed and refined, making it ideal for both casual family meals and special group celebrations. The standout dishes here are where Marina Seafood truly shines. The steamed seabass in Hong Kong sauce is a culinary triumph—delicately cooked with firm, succulent flesh enhanced by a perfectly balanced savory glaze that delights the palate. Equally compelling is the fried horfun, whose silky, slightly chewy noodles deliver comfort in every bite. Fresh prawns cooked in a rich Indonesian-style gravy offer a tantalizing depth of flavor that's best enjoyed with a side of crispy fried mantou buns for dipping, providing a satisfying contrast of textures.
For vegetable lovers, the stir-fried French beans are fresh, hearty, and full of garlicky notes, complementing the seafood without overpowering it. Other thoughtful creations, such as romaine lettuce with fermented beancurd and lotus root with celery, round out the menu with refreshing and vibrant flavors.
Marina Seafood Restaurant also serves as a hidden gem away from the hustle of Johor Bahru’s old town, tucked within the Straits View Hotel premises. This location offers ample parking and a peaceful dining environment, appreciated especially during quieter periods when the restaurant escapes the usual tourist rush. This place has to be an institution. The live seafood is fresh and the prices are not ridiculous. It is just a little out of the old town but nothing a grab ride couldn’t solve. It had yet to disappoint because the good quality is always great.

This place is a hidden gem. Located at the Straits View Hotel, it has been very quiet lately due to the lack of tourists in recent times. The food here has been consistently good. The standout dishes being the steamed seabass in HK sauce and the fried horfun. It is halal certified which means no pork served. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The food were pretty good, very fresh grouper fish, tasty stirfry French bean, delicious fresh prawns cook in Indonesia style (gravy was thick) and best to go with fried mantou. Yam basket was good too. Fantastic location with top hill view across the mainland, Singapore. Rm10 corkage charge when you bring own wine. This seafood restaurant serve no pork no lard, recommended for Muslim too.

Went for a small group celebration, the staff claimed is served no pork. We ordered small portion to try out some of the their food such as steam fish, fried squid, Indonesian style prawn and broccoli. Taste was decent, portion was good enough for 4 adults and 5 kids. We were there quite late so not many patrol and parking space was ample. Location is beside the highway. The washroom was inside the attached hotel. The building is considered bit outdated but still stand tall. Overall experience was quite alright. But the premise served beer. So do clarify with the retail 1st if not comfortable.

Sea bass was done very well for a fish that is difficult to get right. Meat was firm and not brittle. Brinjal was good too. Chicken mince and not pork mince. But still good. I would visit again for the fish. Not the cheapest but good execution.

The restaurant is located in Straits View Hotel. Dishes are yummy - had the roasted chicken, oatmeal prawn, romaine lettuce with fermented beancurd, lotus root with celery, ginger spring onion sliced fish. Environment is comfortable and quiet but do check with the restaurant first as the restaurant caters to many frequent tourist buses and can get really busy.
